Overview

  • The reconducted RO/ARO Preliminary Examination–2023 took place on July 27 in a single 9:30 AM–12:30 PM shift across 2,382 centres in all 75 districts
  • Biometric checks, AI alerts, CCTV surveillance and Special Task Force teams safeguarded the exam, yielding zero reported irregularities
  • Only 454,997 of 1,076,004 registered candidates appeared, with Lucknow recording under 49% turnout among its 61,512 registrants
  • District magistrates served as nodal officers to coordinate centre arrangements and address issues in real time
  • This re-exam followed Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s cancellation of the February 2024 session after a paper leak and met his six-month reconduct directive
