Overview
- CPPA-G has asked the regulator to allow recovery of Re0.4781 per kWh under the December 2025 monthly fuel cost adjustment.
- The request stems from a gap between the reference fuel charge of Rs9.1419 per kWh and the actual average cost of Rs9.62 per kWh.
- Total generation reached 8,487 GWh at a fuel cost of Rs77.706 billion, with 8,208 GWh delivered to DISCOs at a net fuel cost of Rs78.957 billion.
- Lower hydropower output and greater reliance on costly RLNG raised average costs, while nuclear led the mix at 2,126 GWh (25.05%).
- If approved, the additional charge would appear on February electricity bills.
