UTEP Dismisses Football Coach Dana Dimel Following Disappointing Season

UTEP fired football coach Dana Dimel after a 3-9 season, marking his fifth losing season in six years.
Dimel's overall record at UTEP was 20-49, with the team's only bowl appearance in 2021 ending in a loss to Fresno State.
UTEP's athletic director, Jim Senter, stated that a change in leadership was necessary for the program to move forward.
