Utah Woman Allegedly Killed Husband, Sent Email to Police Defending Exotic Vacations and Claiming He Cheated

Kouri Richins is a Utah author accused of poisoning her husband Eric in 2022.
Eric took steps before his death to prevent Kouri from becoming the sole beneficiary of his estate and believed Kouri had been trying to kill him.
Kouri emailed police claiming Eric did not want her working and explaining trips she took after his death, including one to Mexico five months later.
In her email, Kouri said Eric wanted a traditional marriage where she was a homemaker and that he had been unfaithful.
Kouri is charged with murdering Eric and possessing a controlled substance and wrote a children's book about his death.
