- Nathan David Evans, an employee at a Utah storage facility, has been charged with first-degree murder and third-degree felony abuse or desecration of a human body for allegedly killing his coworker, David Hinkebein.
- The incident began on Dec. 29 when Evans was overheard saying he planned to kill someone at the warehouse because they had 'messed with his stuff'.
- Hinkebein's body was discovered on Jan. 3 during a welfare check at the warehouse, along with a bloody hammer and a garbage bag containing blood-stained clothes identified as Evans' typical attire.
- The medical examiner found at least 15 blunt force injuries to Hinkebein's head, consistent with a hammer attack.
- The investigation into Hinkebein’s death is currently ongoing and Evans’ trial date has not yet been set.
