Utah Snowboarder Survives Mountain Lion Attack Using Snowboard

Charlie Duffy, attacked by a mountain lion at Beaver Mountain ski resort, used his snowboard to fend off the animal and escape with minor injuries.

Charlie Duffy encountered a mountain lion while snowboarding outside of resort boundaries in Beaver Mountain, Utah.
Duffy used his snowboard to defend himself, striking the mountain lion as it pounced, resulting in minor scratches.
The mountain lion, appearing starved and injured from the encounter, eventually retreated.
Following the incident, snowboard brands Nitro and 686 pledged to send Duffy new snowboarding gear.
Duffy shared his experience on Instagram, including photos of his torn jacket from the attack.
