Utah Quarterback Cam Rising No Longer Listed on Team Roster

Cam Rising, a two-time Pac-12 champion, has not announced his plans after injuries limited his last two seasons.

Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham confirmed that veteran quarterback Cam Rising is no longer on the team roster but left Rising's future plans for him to disclose.
Rising, who has one year of eligibility remaining, missed the 2023 season due to a knee injury and played only three games in 2024 because of hand and leg injuries.
During his Utah career, Rising led the team to back-to-back Pac-12 championships in 2021 and 2022 and set career highs in 2022 with 3,034 passing yards and 26 touchdowns.
Rising has not publicly stated whether he intends to transfer during the spring transfer window, enter the NFL draft, or pursue other opportunities.
Utah is expected to move forward with transfer quarterback Devon Dampier, who joined the program this offseason from New Mexico, as its likely starter for the 2025 season.
