- August was previously located on Dec. 10 after a welfare check at an Apollo Burger in Taylorsville, where police confirmed his identity by fingerprint.
- He first vanished on Nov. 17 near the University of Utah during a severe mental-health crisis without a coat, phone or money.
- After his earlier reunion, his mother thanked volunteers and members of the homeless community for providing clothing, boots and food, and she has again called for community help in the search.
