Overview
- Utah formally introduced Anders Lee and Vincent Trocheck in Salt Lake City on Friday, July 10, confirming two major offseason additions to the roster.
- Lee signed a three-year contract reported at $16.2 million total and will wear No. 72 after 14 seasons with the New York Islanders.
- The Mammoth acquired Trocheck from the New York Rangers in a trade that sent defenseman Sean Durzi, prospect Cole Beaudoin and a 2027 third-round pick to New York.
- Trocheck removed Utah from his modified no-trade list and said joining a team he believes can win, plus preexisting ties to teammates Logan Cooley and Clayton Keller, drove his decision.
- General manager Bill Armstrong said the moves address Utah’s need for a stronger inside game and veteran experience as the club seeks to build on its first playoff berth and reach the next round.
