Utah Hires Former Star Alex Jensen as New Men's Basketball Coach

Jensen, a Utah alum and longtime NBA assistant, returns to lead the Utes after years of coaching at the professional and collegiate levels.

Jensen, a former Utah player, was part of the 1998 team that reached the NCAA championship game and has deep ties to the program and state.
He brings extensive coaching experience, including roles with the Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks, and as head coach of the Canton Charge in the G League.
Jensen is tasked with reviving a program that has not reached the NCAA Tournament since 2016 and recently transitioned to the Big 12 Conference.
Reports suggest former NBA player Andre Miller, another Utah alum, might join Jensen's coaching staff to further strengthen the program.
