Violations occurred at eight Utah locations, including American Fork, Bountiful, Clearfield, Layton, Salt Lake City, Sandy, West Jordan, and West Valley.
64 minors, ages 14 to 15, were found to have worked too late in the day and too many hours in a week while school was in session.
The employer claimed to have followed erroneous legal guidance, believing it was compliant with state rather than federal requirements.
