• FIRE filed a federal complaint on behalf of student groups at UT-Austin and UT-Dallas challenging SB 2972 as unconstitutional.
• SB 2972 bars any First Amendment–protected expressive activity on campus from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., effective Sept. 1.
