USWNT in turmoil as GM Markgraf resigns after coach Andonovski steps down following World Cup exit

Andonovski resigned as USWNT coach after disappointing results including early knockout in 2023 Women's World Cup.
Markgraf decided not to renew her contract as USWNT general manager before the World Cup began.
Markgraf was appointed the first GM of the USWNT program in 2019 and oversaw Andonovski's hiring.
With Markgraf and Andonovski departing, US Soccer will conduct an in-depth review of the women's program.
U.S. Soccer sporting director Matt Crocker will lead the search for a new USWNT head coach.
