The U.S. women's national soccer team ended the year with a 2-1 comeback victory over China in an exhibition match, with goals scored by Sam Coffey and Jaedyn Shaw.
This was the first time the USWNT conceded a goal since its 1-1 draw vs. the Netherlands in the second match of the World Cup on July 27.

Jaedyn Shaw, a 19-year-old from Frisco, Texas, scored the winning goal in her first-ever USWNT start, in front of her hometown crowd.
The USWNT's final victory of 2023 came after a year of highs and lows, including an early exit from the Women's World Cup.
