Overview

• The USS Carl Vinson pulled into San Diego on Aug. 14, marking the end of a 269-day mission and triggering emotional reunions with more than 5,000 sailors and their families.
• Carrier Strike Group 1 logged over 275,000 nautical miles and flew upwards of 10,000 sorties while operating under U.S. 7th and 5th Fleets.
