USPS Reports Seven-Year High in Dog Attacks on Mail Carriers

The Postal Service has tightened safety guidelines in response to a record surge of bites on its carriers.

Overview

  • More than 6,000 dog attacks on postal workers were reported in 2024, a 5 percent rise from the previous year.
