Overview

  • The Forever stamp featuring Barbara Bush’s official White House portrait by Chas Fagan was dedicated on June 10, 2025, in Kennebunkport, Maine.
  • The dedication coincided with what would have been her 100th birthday two days earlier.
  • Bush selected the purple attire, pearl necklace and pin depicted in Fagan’s portrait and opted to exclude her English springer spaniel Millie.
  • This release continues USPS’s tradition of honoring former first ladies, following Nancy Reagan’s 2022 stamp and Betty Ford’s 2024 issue.
  • The commemorative stamp is now available for purchase at USPS locations and online as a Forever stamp.
