USPS Driver Arrested After Allegedly Aiming Truck at 10-Year-Old Returning Misdelivered Package

The Postal Inspection Service is conducting a joint investigation with Florida Highway Patrol.

  • FHP says the Dec. 27 encounter in Escambia County began with a misdelivered package the child tried to return on an electric scooter.
  • Troopers allege White purposely drove toward the child and ran over the scooter as the boy jumped clear, injuring his ankle before transport to a Pensacola children’s hospital.
  • Investigators report White removed the scooter, left the area, and threw it into a yard after a relative confronted him on Blue Jay Way.
  • White was arrested at work on Dec. 31 and booked on aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, petit theft, and criminal mischief, posted $5,500 bond, and is due in court on Jan. 23.
