USMNT's Johnny Cardoso Out of Key Matches Due to Ankle Injury

Injury-hit U.S. Soccer Team Faces Trinidad and Tobago Without Replacement for Cardoso

USMNT midfielder Johnny Cardoso has been withdrawn from camp due to an ankle injury.
Cardoso will miss the United States' matches with Trinidad and Tobago that will determine a berth in next year's Copa América and the CONCACAF Nations League semifinals.
Cardoso did not travel to Austin, Texas, from Brazil, where he plays for Internacional.
The U.S. team is already missing wingers Christian Pulisic and Tim Weah, and captain Tyler Adams because of injuries.
Cardoso will not be replaced on the roster, the U.S. Soccer Federation announced.
