Overview
- FSIS flagged two HelloFresh ready-made meals—Cheesy Pulled Pork Pepper Pasta and Unstuffed Peppers with Ground Turkey—after spinach used in them tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.
- Affected lots include Est. 47718 lot 49107, Est. 2937 lot 48840 for the pork pasta, and P-47718 lots 50069, 50073, 50698 for the turkey dish, all shipped directly to customers.
- FreshRealm notified FSIS of the positive spinach test, and the agency said additional affected items are likely to be identified as the investigation continues.
- HelloFresh said it has contacted customers who may have received the meals between September 6 and October 9 and advised discarding any affected products; no illnesses have been linked to these meals to date.
- The alert comes as a broader FreshRealm-linked outbreak tied to ingredients from Nate’s Fine Foods has been associated with about 20 illnesses and four deaths across multiple states.
