Overview

• The Academy presented gold, silver, and bronze medals across four categories at New York’s Ziegfeld Ballroom, with remarks by Bill Kramer and Lynette Howell Taylor and presenters Lou Diamond Phillips, Craig Brewer, Jon M. Chu, and Alex Woo.
• Gold medals went to USC for Alternative/Experimental (The Song of Drifters), Film Academy Baden-Württemberg for Animation (A Sparrow’s Song), UWE Bristol for Documentary (Tides of Life), and Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School for Narrative (Dad’s Not Home).
• The 2025 competition drew 3,127 entries from 988 colleges and universities worldwide.
• Medal placements include cash awards of $5,000 for gold, $3,000 for silver, and $2,000 for bronze.
• First-time Student Academy Awards were recorded for UWE Bristol, Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School, the University of Copenhagen, Gobelins, the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, and the London College of Communication.
