The U.S. team trailed 19-13 with just over two minutes left in the game, but managed to tie the game in just 64 seconds.
Katie Lou Samuelson, playing in her first competitive event since becoming a mother, contributed significantly to the comeback, scoring back-to-back 2-pointers.
The U.S. women's team went undefeated in the two-day tournament, while the U.S. men's team finished sixth.
In the men's event, Puerto Rico beat Brazil 18-14 in the final, also going undefeated in the tournament.
