Overview

• The two-day, off-ice orientation is scheduled for Aug. 26–27 in Plymouth, Michigan, focused on administrative and team-building work.
• The invite list features the previously named “First Six”: Auston Matthews, Jack Eichel, Quinn Hughes, Charlie McAvoy, Brady Tkachuk and Matthew Tkachuk.
• USA Hockey leaned on recent events, inviting all 23 from the 4 Nations Face-Off and 12 players from the 2025 world championship gold team, with five invitees carrying prior Olympic experience.
• Attendance is not required for selection, and pre-selected winger Matthew Tkachuk will not be in Plymouth.
• The 44-player list is non-binding and will be trimmed to 25 (22 skaters, 3 goalies) in early January 2026, with notable omissions including Thatcher Demko, Lane Hutson, John Carlson, Alex DeBrincat and Brock Boeser.
