US YouTuber Addison Pierre Maalouf, known as YourFellowArab, kidnapped in Haiti by the 400 Mawozo gang while attempting to interview gang leader Jimmy 'Barbecue' Cherizier.
Maalouf and his Haitian colleague, Sean Roubens Jean Sacra, were abducted on March 14, with a $600,000 ransom demanded; $40,000 has already been paid.
Despite the situation, Maalouf is reportedly in good spirits, planning to release a video about his experience upon his return.
The US State Department is aware of Maalouf's kidnapping but has not provided further details, reiterating the travel advisory against going to Haiti.
