U.S. Strengthens Indo-Pacific Economic Ties Through High-Level Meetings

Secretary Raimondo engages with key partners to operationalize the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity.

Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo held meetings with trade ministers from the Republic of Korea, Australia, and Singapore to discuss the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF).
The discussions focused on operationalizing the IPEF Supply Chain, Clean Economy, and Fair Economy agreements to benefit partner economies.
Raimondo congratulated the new Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea on his appointment and discussed the upcoming U.S.-Japan-Republic of Korea Trilateral Commerce/Industry Ministerial Meeting.
The inaugural IPEF Clean Economy Investor Forum is planned for the first half of this year, aiming to identify projects that support climate objectives and green transitions.
The meetings underscore the U.S.'s commitment to deepening economic cooperation and delivering concrete benefits through the IPEF.
