Overview

• US officials say around 300 Hellfire missiles were delivered on June 10 under an existing $7.4bn arms deal notified to Congress in February.
• On June 13 Israel deployed more than 100 aircraft using Hellfires in precision strikes that killed IRGC chief Hossein Salami, armed forces head Mohammad Bagheri and aide Ali Shamkhani.
• Following the attack Iran launched missile barrages at Israel, which US forces helped intercept using Patriot batteries and other air defenses.
