U.S. Seizes 145 Domains in BidenCash Dark Web Takedown

The operation cuts off access to a major carding market by redirecting about 145 domains to law enforcement servers under a court order freezing crypto funds.

  • The U.S. Secret Service and FBI led the seizure with support from the Dutch National Police, The ShadowServer Foundation and Searchlight Cyber.
  • Authorities obtained court authorization to freeze cryptocurrency assets linked to BidenCash’s illicit transactions.
  • BidenCash operated from March 2022, serving over 117,000 users and trafficking more than 15 million stolen payment card numbers.
  • Between October 2022 and February 2023, marketplace administrators leaked 3.3 million stolen credit cards for free to attract cybercriminals.
  • The takedown follows global efforts such as Operation RapTor to disrupt crypto-enabled fraud and dark web criminal networks.
