U.S. Sanctions Chinese Firms for Aiding Russian Drone Production

The sanctions target companies involved in developing drones used by Russia in Ukraine, marking the first U.S. penalties on China for complete weapons systems collaboration.

  • The U.S. Treasury has imposed sanctions on two Chinese companies, Xiamen Limbach Aircraft Engine Co. and Redlepus Vector Industry Shenzhen Co, for their roles in developing and shipping drones used by Russia in Ukraine.
