Overview

  • The mixed doubles championship will be staged on August 19 and 20 at Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium as part of US Open Fan Week.
  • Sixteen teams will feature in the draw, with eight slots determined by combined singles ranking and eight awarded via wildcards before the July 28 entry deadline.
  • Matches will be played in a fast-format with best-of-three sets to four games, no-ad scoring, tiebreakers at four-all and a 10-point match tiebreak instead of a third set.
  • Nine of the top 10 men and nine of the top 10 women have entered, with Carlos Alcaraz personally requesting to partner Emma Raducanu and other top contenders such as Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka also on the list.
  • The champions will split a $1 million prize pot, a marked increase from last year, although some doubles specialists have criticized the revamp as favoring entertainment over traditional competition.
