U.S. Mint Releases Commemorative Harriet Tubman Coins

- President Biden signed legislation to create the coins in August 2022, which was introduced by Representative Gregory W. Meeks, Democrat of New York, during Black History Month in February 2020.
- Proceeds from the sale of the coins will go to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the Harriet Tubman Home in Auburn, New York.
