Overview
- The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office confirmed that 20-year-old Isaiah Jamon Andrews was mistakenly released from the Martinez Detention Facility on Oct. 22.
- Andrews, of Kent, Washington, had been held on local charges, a juvenile warrant out of Sacramento, and an out-of-state arrest warrant for homicide.
- Staff launched an immediate search of the area once the error was discovered, but officials determined he had left the vicinity.
- The U.S. Marshals Service is conducting the ongoing search, and local law enforcement agencies have been notified.
