U.S. Marshals Arrest Suspect in North Philadelphia Shooting That Wounded 7-Year-Old

  • He was wanted in connection with the Oct. 28 attack that injured 7-year-old Azuri Ford as she rode in a moving Honda with her mother in North Philadelphia.
  • Police said the car was struck by gunfire on the 3000 block of North Marshall Street shortly after 7 p.m., and one bullet broke the child’s left arm.
  • Investigators recovered six spent 9mm shell casings at the scene, and officials have not publicly identified a motive.
  • Family members said Azuri has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home in a wheelchair due to pain from the injury.
