Overview

• Waymon Donat, 19, was taken into custody around 2 p.m. Wednesday outside a residence near the 1200 block of Cale Road in Masontown without incident.
• He is wanted on an aggravated murder charge tied to an April 5 Cleveland shooting that killed 18-year-old driver Ricky Walker after gunfire between two vehicles.
• The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force began searching for Donat in May and later determined he had left Ohio for West Virginia.
• The Mountain State Fugitive Task Force led the arrest with support from the Preston County Sheriff’s Office, the West Virginia Department of Corrections, and regional drug task forces.
• Authorities say Donat is being held in West Virginia as arrangements are made to return him to Cuyahoga County to face prosecution.
