US Marshals Apprehend Suspected Quadruple Murderer in Dominican Republic

Overview

  • Luis Francisco Soriano, 31, was arrested on June 4 by the U.S. Marshals Service working with Dominican authorities after he completed a shift at a hotel call center in Punta Cana.
  • He is accused of killing Fraime Ubaldo, 30; Marangely Moreno Santiago, 26; and their children, Evangeline, 4, and Sebastián Ubaldo Moreno, 2, in Irondequoit, New York, on August 31, 2024.
  • Responding officers found the victims’ bodies in the basement after the family home had been set on fire.
  • Investigators say Soriano fled first to Puerto Rico and then boarded a boat to his native Dominican Republic upon learning federal marshals were hunting him.
  • He remains in Dominican custody awaiting extradition to New York where he faces multiple counts of second-degree murder.
