US Imposes New Sanctions on Intellexa Spyware Firm

- Predator spyware has been used by authoritarian regimes to target dissidents, journalists, political candidates, and opposition figures worldwide.
- The Aliada Group, a British Virgin Islands-based company, was also sanctioned for facilitating tens of millions of dollars in transactions for Intellexa.
- The sanctions prohibit targeted individuals and entities from engaging in business or financial transactions within the U.S. or with U.S. entities.
