Overview

  • According to the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 91 Palestinians were killed and over 600 wounded in the past 24 hours while seeking aid.
  • Israel allows only 220–270 aid trucks into Gaza each day, around half the UN’s 500–600 daily minimum, a shortfall that the IPC says has triggered famine-level food insecurity and acute malnutrition.
  • Doctors Without Borders and other NGOs denounce recent airdrops as “futile, ineffective and dangerous” compared with coordinated land convoys.
  • Under mounting international pressure, France plans to recognize a Palestinian state in September and Britain and Canada have signaled similar recognition moves.
  • Steve Witkoff is in Israel to push for expanded relief routes and renewed ceasefire talks with Prime Minister Netanyahu.
