Overview
- Most U.S. clocks will move back one hour at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, marking the end of daylight saving time.
- Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa will not change clocks.
- Mexico will shift clocks on November 2 only in designated northern border municipalities in Baja California, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas under Article 5 of the time‑zone law.
- Spain will revert to winter time overnight October 25–26, 2025, moving clocks back one hour per the BOE, with this schedule running until March 29, 2026.
- State efforts to adopt permanent daylight time, including pushes in Texas and Florida and public support from President Donald Trump, cannot take effect without a change in federal law, and official studies on energy and health impacts remain inconclusive.
