U.S. Embassy in Mexico Updates Visa Delivery Fees and Payment Channels

Free pickup at Visa Application Centers is preserved after the embassy introduced 320-peso fees for DHL branch collection, 400-peso home delivery, with MRV payments limited to Scotiabank, Banco del Bajío or SPEI transfers.

Overview

  • The U.S. Embassy in Mexico confirmed that free visa collection at Visa Application Centers is maintained alongside new 320-peso charges for DHL branch pickup and 400-peso fees for home delivery.
  • Starting July 14, Banamex payments were discontinued and applicants must now pay visa application fees in cash at Scotiabank or Banco del Bajío or via SPEI electronic transfers.
  • Home delivery is restricted to selected postal codes, with carriers making up to three delivery attempts and requiring an adult’s signature upon receipt.
  • The current nonimmigrant visa application fee remains USD 185, and a refundable USD 250 Integrity Fee will be added in fiscal year 2026 to raise the total cost to USD 435 under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
  • Officials say the measures aim to streamline processing and boost revenue ahead of rising traveler demand for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
