Overview
- Between January 20 and July 22, 2025, the US deported 1,703 Indian nationals under President Donald Trump’s administration.
- Of these deportees, 1,562 were men and 141 were women, with Punjab, Haryana and Gujarat accounting for the largest shares at 620, 604 and 245 respectively.
- Repatriations took place via US Customs and Border Protection military flights, ICE and DHS charter operations, and staggered commercial services from the US and Panama.
- The External Affairs Ministry reported no new complaints of mistreatment since February 5 after registering objections to the use of shackles and raising cultural and dietary concerns.
