U.S. Commits $500 Million in Additional Military Aid for Ukraine’s Counteroffensive

The Biden administration announced a $500 million military aid package for Ukraine to support its counteroffensive against Russian forces.
The package includes armored vehicles, artillery rounds, Javelin anti-tank missiles, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, and other equipment and munitions.
This is the 41st military aid package from the U.S. to Ukraine since the Russian invasion in February, totaling over $40 billion.
Ukraine recently took over territory held by Russian mercenaries, damaging Russian troop morale.
Russia’s President Putin admitted the Wagner Group mercenaries were fully state-funded, receiving over $1 billion from May 2022 to May 2023.
