U.S. citizen detained in Russia for supporting jailed opposition leader Navalny

Russian authorities detained several supporters of Alexei Navalny, including an American citizen.
The American, Ilya Startsev, was arrested for donating to Navalny's organization.
Startsev was born in Russia but moved to the U.S. as a child and recently returned to teach English.
Navalny's organization was declared extremist in 2021, but investigators continue working in exile.
Several Americans have been arrested in Russia in recent years on spying charges.
