U.S. Boosts Artillery Shell Production with New Texas Factory

New facility aims to produce 30,000 rounds monthly, enhancing support for Ukraine amid ongoing conflict

The U.S. opens a new factory in Mesquite, Texas, to produce 155mm artillery shells for Ukraine.
The facility aims to produce 30,000 rounds per month, contributing to a larger goal of 100,000 rounds monthly by 2025.
Current U.S. production stands at 36,000 shells per month, with the new factory expected to nearly double this output.
Despite increased production, U.S. output remains significantly lower than Russia's estimated 250,000 shells per month.
The U.S. has also provided Ukraine with plans for over 1,000 weapons to bolster its domestic arms production.
