Overview
- The U.S. Army's Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany has started treating wounded Ukrainian Army soldiers, mostly American volunteers.
- The hospital is authorized to treat up to 18 wounded Ukrainian forces members at a time under a Defense Department policy.
- Landstuhl is the largest American military hospital outside the U.S. and has been largely unused since the end of Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.
- Some members of Congress have pushed for the hospital to treat wounded Ukrainians.
