- The North Korean Freedom Coalition has launched 17 bottles into the Yellow Sea, each containing rice, a $1 US bill, and a flash drive with Bible verses.
- The flash drives also contain recorded messages from members of Congress describing Christmas and North Korea's historical connection to it.
- Activists aim to breach Kim Jong Un's closed borders and spread information about the outside world to North Koreans.
- An estimated 400,000 Christians live in North Korea, with around 17% believed to be imprisoned.
