UPTET 2026 Provisional Answer Keys Published; Online Objection Window Open

Candidates can now submit evidence-backed challenges on the UPESSC portal before the commission finalises keys that will determine scores and eligibility certificates.

Overview

  • This week the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission published provisional answer keys for both Paper 1 (primary) and Paper 2 (upper primary) and opened an online objection window that closes on July 14, 2026.
  • Objections must be filed only through the UPESSC portal by logging in with registration details and uploading supporting citations such as NCERT or SCERT textbooks, and candidates should save the confirmation receipt after submission.
  • Each correct response carries one mark with no negative marking, the commission will normalise scores because the exam ran in multiple shifts, and the qualifying marks are 90 out of 150 for General candidates and 82 out of 150 for OBC, SC, ST, PwD and ex‑servicemen.
  • After the July 14 deadline UPESSC will review valid challenges, publish a revised final answer key if needed, and then prepare the UPTET 2026 results and issue the eligibility certificates used for teacher recruitment.
  • The provisional key lets candidates estimate their likely score now, and successful challenges could change individual scores or cutoffs while the normalisation process seeks to make scores comparable across shifts.
