Overview
- On Tuesday the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission moved the PET‑2026 registration deadline to September 7 after candidates reported failures to receive OTPs and other problems with the OTR portal.
- Candidates who have already submitted forms may use the correction and fee‑adjustment facility until September 8 and the published fee structure remains unchanged: Rs 185 for General/OBC, Rs 95 for SC/ST, and Rs 25 for PwD.
- Applicants must complete the mandatory One‑Time Registration (OTR) introduced on July 14 to access the PET application form and complete payment through cards, netbanking, UPI or SBI challan.
- The PET exam format and eligibility rules are the same as published: 100 questions for 100 marks, two hours long, Class 10 pass required and an age range of 18–40 years with applicable relaxations.
- UPSSSC urged candidates to finish and submit applications before the revised deadline to avoid last‑minute portal trouble and the extension reflects how a single qualifying test’s registration problems can delay many recruitment pipelines across the state.
