UPSIDA to Power 13 Industrial Zones with New Solar Plants

  • UPSIDA has earmarked 13 industrial zones spanning hubs such as Surajpur Site-5, EPIP in Gautam Buddha Nagar, TDS City in Ghaziabad and SEZ Moradabad for solar power plant installations.
  • A 150-kilowatt solar plant at UPSIDA’s Kanpur headquarters was commissioned at a cost of ₹82.98 lakh to showcase financial and ecological viability.
  • The authority’s “solar path” scheme will deploy off-grid solar lighting along internal roads to maintain safe, well-lit pathways in industrial areas after dark.
