UPSC Releases 2025 Civil Services Exam Notification for 979 Vacancies

Applications for the UPSC CSE Preliminary Exam open today, with the exam scheduled for May 25, 2025.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced 979 vacancies for the 2025 Civil Services Examination, including positions in the IAS, IPS, and IFS.
Of the total vacancies, 38 are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities across various categories.
Eligibility criteria include Indian citizenship for key posts, an age range of 21 to 32 years as of August 1, 2025, and specific relaxations for reserved categories.
The application process is open until February 11, 2025, and candidates must register on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform before submitting their application.
The preliminary examination, set for May 25, 2025, will consist of two objective-type papers serving as a screening test for the Main Examination.
