UPSC Prelims Result Expected Imminently

The outcome will decide who can submit the Detailed Application Form to sit the Mains and move forward in selection for about 933 Civil Services posts.

Overview

  • The preliminary exam was held on May 24 and about 5.49 lakh candidates took the test from roughly 8.19 lakh registrants.
  • As of June 15 the Union Public Service Commission has not issued an official result date, though multiple outlets report the shortlist may be published in mid‑June.
  • When declared the commission will post a PDF of shortlisted roll numbers on upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in for candidates to download and check.
  • UPSC published a provisional answer key on May 28 and closed the online objection window via the QPRep portal on May 31.
  • Shortlisted candidates must file DAF‑I and prepare for the Mains, which are expected to begin in August, while Prelims marks will not count toward final ranking and CSAT is qualifying at 33 percent.
