UPSC Prelims 2026 Result Expected This Week
Publication of the roll‑number PDF will require qualifiers to file the Detailed Application Form and begin Mains preparation.
Overview
- The Union Public Service Commission conducted the Civil Services Preliminary Exam on May 24, 2026, and about 5.49 lakh candidates sat the test for roughly 933 advertised vacancies.
- As of June 10, 2026, the UPSC has not posted the Prelims result but media and exam experts, citing recent-year timing, expect the roll-number PDF on upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in between June 10 and June 14.
- The official Prelims document will contain only the roll numbers of qualifiers and any instructions for the next stage; UPSC does not publish individual marks or section- or category-wise cutoffs at this stage.
- Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the merit PDF must complete the mandatory Detailed Application Form before sitting the Mains, which are projected for August 2026.
- Heavy traffic on result day is likely so aspirants should use only the UPSC portals for the PDF and continue Mains preparation now because the interval between results and the Mains is short.
